Support to Help You Cope With Change, Anxiety, Depression & Feeling Overwhelmed

I'm Joanne Airey MBACP, a qualified counsellor supporting women going through one of the most challenging times of life.

Society is quickly changing the narrative about this once mysterious and misunderstood phase - we can now see it as an opportunity for understanding and growth (and increased wisdom!!).

Luckily, there is evidence that:

holistic changes and support can transform your menopause journey from a negative to a positive, AND help reduce these uncomfortable symptoms.

Menopause counselling can help! A safe space to explore everything that you are going through, at your own pace.

Menopause can be an unexpected, unwanted and uncomfortable thing to experience (for half of the population).  Many women feel lonely and isolated in this particular phase of life, and many feel that they can't talk to family or friends about it. It is only recently that the stigma of talking about it has evolved to a greater awareness and acceptance, with a number of services now available to support those going through the stages of menopause.

How can i help?

I can support you by giving you the time and space to talk about how experiencing menopause effects you, and to talk about what you are personally going through.

Clients can  GAIN an understanding of emotional changes,  RECONNECT you with your self-identity,  REDUCE stress and anxiety, IMPROVE communication and feel  GROUNDED once more.

There is evidence to suggest that talking therapies can help quite significantly.

Everybody experiences menopause uniquely,  so there is no 'wrong' or 'right' way to what you are going through.

If i feel it may be beneficial, i may use some coaching skills to help look at the whole HOLISTIC picture eg exercise/diet/relaxation techniques. But this will be up to you.

You don't need to experience this alone.

Contact me to book an initial session, or I can answer any questions that you have about the service.

All enquiries are confidential.

Symptoms of menopause can include: brain fog, problems with memory recall, relationship issues, anxiety, low-mood, hot flushes, temperature issues, dizziness, sleep issues, night sweats, body aches, libido changes, physical changes and more... (*not all women will experience the same things, but 90% of women WILL experience menopausal symptoms).
